PROJECT FINANCE GUIDE

From term sheet to financial close

An indicative funding proposal is the beginning of an execution process.

Understand the status of each proposal

Distinguish preliminary discussions, indicative terms, approvals, binding commitments and executed documents. Use the status supported by the evidence.

Assign each closing condition

Every condition needs an owner, a deadline, supporting evidence and an agreed review process. Legal, technical and financial workstreams must be coordinated.

Keep the financing case current

Material changes to contracts, costs, assumptions or financing terms may require updated analysis and renewed approvals. Control versions and avoid relying on stale decisions.

Close and monitor

Confirm that completion evidence is recorded and responsibilities for ongoing reporting are agreed. A workspace records the process; signatures, settlement and disbursement follow the authorised transaction arrangements.

General guidance. Project-specific analysis and specialist advice are defined through an agreed engagement.

YOUR NEXT STEP
